TRAINING

Davie has trained with some of the industry’s top voice-over trainers and demo producers. Phyllis K. Day of Creative Day in North Carolina, Terry Daniel of Voice Overs by Terry Daniel in St. Louis Park, MN, & Don Cosgrove of The Talent Center in St. Paul, MN. He has also studied acting at the World renowned Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, MN, and has attended several voice-over workshops and meet-ups in the Twin Cities metro area.

BIOGRAPHY

Davie began his voice-over career in 2003. As a seasoned professional live event announcer he has mastered mic technique and is comfortable behind the microphone in any situation. 

His interest in voice-overs began as many live rodeo events that he was working with wanted him to voice promo spots for their upcoming events. This also led to opportunities voicing radio commercial spots for equine and rodeo related products many of which have been broadcast Worldwide on the Internet, and in local, and regional radio markets.

His interest to expand in this industry led him to attend a voice-over workshop in the Minneapolis area. This led to another, and afterwards sought out a few different Nationally known voice coaches to sharpen his skills, and to help direct and produce a new commercial and narration demo to showcase his talents to compete as a freelance voice-over talent.

In the past few years his experience has expanded voicing several local and regional TV and radio commercials in many different voice-over genre’s. His voice can also be heard on several hunting shows that are broadcast on the sportsman’s and outdoor channels.

He has  taken acting classes at the world renowned Guthrie Theater in Minneaoplis, MN and has also studied Improv.  As a student of the craft he continues to hone his skills through voice coaching to improve his delivery and keep up with an ever changing talent industry.

His attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction has been keeping him in demand in this highly competitive field.
